Oklahoma Sooners’ Injury Report: DeMarco Murray Out; HB Will Miss National Title Game
Oklahoma
halfback
DeMarco Murray
Florida
. Murray has a partial rupture of his left
Murray led the Sooners with 2,171 all-purpose yards and scored 18 touchdowns. Although Oklahoma still has Chris Brown – the Sooners’ other 1,000-yard back – this does create a problem for their offense. Part of their explosiveness was the ability to put a fresh set of legs in throughout the game. The two backs only had 20 or more carries in games four times this entire season.
However, it might not be as critical as Gator fans want it to be. Murray was injured on the opening kickoff of the Big 12 Championship Game. In that game, the Sooners won by 41 points with Brown carrying the ball 27 times for 122 yards and three touchdowns and Mossis Madu getting 15 carries for 114 yards and three touchdowns. Just saying, this injury might not be a game-changer.
