Bait

Georgia WR

I’m not the biggest fan of Georgia and I really hope we beat the snot out of them this fall. It’s been three years since that happened after dominating them since 1990. But you have to respect a player who makes a 26 minute film about Star Wars. Bulldogs WR Chris Conley did just that. Hopefully, he won’t have as much fun this fall when the Gators and Dawgs square off. Check out the video here:

More Gators on Preseason Awards Watch Lists. Vernon Hargreaves and Dante Fowler are both on the Bednarik watch list, now they join each other on the Bronco Nagurski Trophy Watch List. The Bronco Nagurski Trophy honors college football’s top defensive player. Offensive tackle D.J. Humphries was also named to the Outland Trophy Watch List, which honors the nation’s best interior lineman. (GatorZone)

Jeff Driskel a Counselor at Manning Passing Academy. Florida quarterback Jeff Driskel will once again be a counselor at the Manning Passing Academy starting Thursday. He’s one of 40 college QBs invited to take part. New offensive coordinator Kurt Roper will likely come up, seeing as he helped mentor both Eli Manning and Peyton Manning. (Scott Carter, GatorZone)

New OL Coach Mike Summers Draws Praise. New offensive line coach Mike Summers has been around college football for a long time now, about 34 years. He’s had a lot of success and many of his former pupils praise his coaching efforts. (Zach Abolverdi, GatorSports)

QB Recruit Sheriron Jones Draws Praise at Elite 11. Gators quarterback commit Sheriron Jones put on a show on the opening day of the Elite 11 Quarterback Camp. He showed great timing, poise, and footwork. Jones is the No. 7 rated dual-threat QB of the 2015 recruiting class. (Patrick Schmidt, FanSided)

Florida Target Byron Cowart Dominating at The Opening. Defensive end Byron Cowart just might be the top-rated player of the 2015 recruiting class when all is said and done. He’s big, physical, and dominating, even against top competition at The Opening. The good news for Florida? Cowart, from Armwood High School in Seffner, FL, might be leaning toward staying close to home and attending UF. (Patrick Schmidt, FanSided)

Chandler Parsons Signs Offer Sheet with Dallas Mavericks. Houston Rockets and former Gators power forward Chandler Parsons is about to become a very rich man. Parsons signed an offer sheet with the Dallas Mavericks for three years and $45 million. The Rockets have three days to match the offer or Parsons is officially a Mav.
