Jeff Driskel, Dante Fowler, Vernon Hargeaves Headed to SEC Media Days

SEC Media Days start next week, which signifies the unofficial beginning of the new football season. This year, Will Muschamp will take quarterback Jeff Driskel, BUCK Dante Fowler, and cornerback Vernon Hargreaves with him to Hoover, AL.

Commissioner Mike Slive kicks off the event with the State of the SEC Address on Monday at 12:30 CT and the contingents from Auburn, Florida, and Vanderbilt will follow. On Tuesday, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Mississippi State, and Tennessee will take the stage, followed by Missouri, LSU, and Arkansas on Wednesday. Also speaking Wednesday will be The final day will feature the rest of the SEC schools, starting with Ole Miss, Georgia, Alabama, and Kentucky. Also speaking Thursday will be SEC Coordinator of Football Officials Steve Shaw, SEC Network General Manager Justin Connolly, and College Football Playoff Executive Director Bill Hancock.

It makes sense that Driskel, Fowler, and Hargreaves will represent the Gators at this year’s SEC Media Days. They were recently named to some prestigious watch lists and should be the backbone of a bounce back season. Driskel was at the Media Days last year, along with two Gators now playing for the New England Patriots, Dominique Easley and Jon Halapio. Here’s what Driskel had to say.

Meanwhile, Fowler and Hargreaves will be looked to this season to provide leadership in the front seven and secondary. They were both consistently on the field last season and earned some accolades in the process. Hargreaves makes sense to take with you to Media Days if only because he’s the son of a coach and understands the press.
