100 Days of Florida Football: No. 97 - Injury Epidemic

As we count down the days until kickoff we look forward to seeing the boys from ole Florida take the field, but we also look forward to seeing many players back from injuries.

The 2013 season saw more than just the injury bug: it was an injury epidemic. Florida lost so many players to injury that Mr. Two Bits saw time at linebacker. After losing two quarterbacks Albert was promoted to second on the depth chart. While some of those injured players, like Dominique Easley, will not be suiting up in the orange and blue again, most of them will be returning to action in 97 days.

Probably the most anticipated player returning from injury is QB Jeff Driskel. Jeff, who will be mentioned again on No.6 of this series, was injured in a week 3 win against Tennessee. Driskel played in the Orange and Blue Debut Spring Game, and fans were glad to see him healthy.

Not only is Driskel healthy, but he is back in his element in the new offense. Recruited by Urban Meyer to play in his spread, uptempo system, Driskel is now doing what he was intended to do.

Gators fans are also looking forward to seeing wide receiver Andre Debose come back to be a sixth-year senior. Debose suffered a torn ACL last Spring and did not play a snap last season.

Florida fans only have to wait 97 more days to see their favorite players take the field again.
