Basketball Recruiting: Florida Gators Pick Up 2015 SG KeVaughn Allen

Billy Donovan and the Florida Gators picked up their second commitment of the 2015 basketball class when KeVaughn Allen decided to end his recruiting process. The 6’2″, 165 pound shooting guard chose the Gators over his instate Arkansas Razorbacks.

Allen hails from North Little Rock High School and was the Gatorade Boy’s Player of the Year in Arkansas. He comes in with a four-star rating, the 59th player overall, the 10th shooting guard, and the number one player in Arkansas according to 247 Sports Composite Rankings.  ESPN’s Recruiting Nation was the only recruiting service to have him as a five-star recruit. Last season, he averaged 21.3 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 4.2 apg, and about 3 spg while throwing down some nasty dunks. Allen is athletic enough to get to the rim, yet still has a shooters touch, routinely hitting from 18 feet and beyond.

Allen is the second to commit to Florida in the 2015 class, joining big man Kevarrius Hayes. You can see their full highlights here.
