Alabama Hands Florida Gators Worst Loss of the Year

The Florida Gators didn’t have any answer for the Crimson Tide. After spending the last two Sundays winning rubber matches, the Gators failed to take the match today and suffered their first lost series of the season, thanks to a 7-0 shutout on Sunday.

Alabama used a three-run homer in top of the first inning to put Florida on its heels, and the Tide never looked back. They added a run in the fifth off of an RBI single, and for good measure, scored three more in the sixth.

The Gators (30-4, 5-4 SEC) could only muster two hits in the game, compliments of Kelsey Stewart and Bailey Castro.

UF will travel to UCF for a showdown this Wednesday at 6:00.
