Ole Miss ruined Florida’s perfect season on Friday, but the Gators (23-1, 1-1) responded in a big way Saturday, posting a 10-3 win and forcing a rubber match on Sunday at 11:00 AM.
The game was initially back and forth with each team trading runs, but with the Gators trailing 3-2 in the third they would take the lead for good. Kelsey Stewart led the way with a career-high four hits, four runs, and three RBI.
The other runs came from Taylor Schwarz and Taylore Fuller (one apiece), and Chelsea Herndon and Justine McLean (two apiece).
Lauren Haeger pitched four innings without a decision and allowed three earned runs, while Delanie Gourley improved to 8-0 with the win tonight.
