Florida Gator Alumni Headed to Super Bowl for 12th Consecutive Season


Three former Gators will travel to New Jersey to take part in Super Bowl XLVIII on Sunday, Feb. 2.

Wide receiver Andre Caldwell and defensive end Jeremy Mincey of the Denver Broncos and wide receiver Percy Harvin of the Seattle Seahawks have assured that the University of Florida will be represented in its 12th straight Super Bowl. Denver linebacker Lerentee McCray will not make the trip since he is on injured reserve.

Florida boasts 41 former players who are/were Super Bowl participants, 55 Super Bowl appearances and 16 Super Bowl titles.

UF will also send a former coach to MetLife Stadium. Former Florida and current Seattle defensive coordinator Dan Quinn will try to help coach the Seahawks to their first Super Bowl win.
