The Florida Gators have one of the best coaches in the country in Billy Donovan who has them back in contention for a National Championship once again as they are ranked as the #16 to begin the year. The Gators have a very tough schedule this season but are fortunate that many of their toughest matchups come at home where Florida basketball tickets are averaging $63 on the season. Florida’s top five home games this season are:
1) 12/10 vs Kansas: Avg $123 / Get-in $49 / 95% Above Avg
The Kansas Jayhawks take the top spot for the Gators most expensive game of the season at an astonishing 95% above Florida’s season average. This game will be very hyped up as its the Gators toughest non-conference game of the year. Tickets are currently going for $123 on average with a low Get-in of $49.
2) 3/8 vs Kentucky: Avg $113 / Get-in $61 / 79% Above Avg
The Kentucky Wildcats are far and away the biggest conference opponent for the Gators this season as the two teams have combined to win the SEC regular season the last four years. This year appears no different as both teams meet for the final game of the season on March 8th in what could determine who is crowned conference champion. Tickets for this contest are going for $50 above normal at $113 with a Get-in price of half that at $61
3) 11/29 vs Florida State: Avg $75 / Get-in $40 / 19% Above Avg
While this years Florida State team is not the best Seminole team we have seen over the past few seasons the magnitude of this rivalry alone has helped to make this the third most expensive Gator game of the year. At 19% above the going rate for Florida home games fans can Get-in for $40 and find tickets at $75 a pop.
4) 3/1 vs LSU: Avg $57 / Get-in $15 / 10% Below Avg
In their second to last home game of the season Florida plays the LSU Tigers for the only time of the year. LSU could be the surprise team in the SEC this season as they have great rebounding and can score at will. Tickets for this game are going for 10% below the normal asking price in Gainesville for $57.
5) 2/1 vs Texas A&M: Avg $56 / Get-in $17 / 11% Below Avg
Since Texas A&M have become a member of the SEC they have enjoyed a resurgence of dominance in football but it has yet to be seen if that carries over to basketball. This will be one of the biggest games of the year for the Aggies and could be their best chance to make a case to be invited to the NCAA Tournament. Tickets for this game are averaging $56, a decrease of 11% from a normal Gators home game.
