Today Billy Donovan and the Gators added their fourth commitment to the class of 2014: Devin Robinson (Christchurch School, Va). The 6-8 forward verbally committed to UF in his press conference.
The lengthy forward has had comparison made to Corey Brewer. He can step back and shot from beyond the arc, and also is great near the rim. He picked Florida over Indiana, Oklahoma State, and Notre Dame. He joins Chris Chiozza (Jacksonville, FL), Brandone Francis (Memphis, TN), and Zach Hodskins, preferred walk-on, (Milton, GA).
After being a lean and lengthy player, Robinson added some weight which helped him explode onto the scene during AAU spring ball. Now he is ranked 20th by Rivals, 29th by 247, and 28th by ESPN.
Billy Donovan and the crew, as usual, are doing a phenomenal job on the recruiting ground. Along with Robinson and the three others in 2014, Kevarrius Hayes of 2015 and John Mooney of 2016 are already verbally committed to the Gators.
With Yeguete, Young, and Prather all being seniors, Robinson will have a great chance at making a tremendous immediate impact.
