On Saturday (Oct. 12th), one of Chad Johnson’s Twitter followers asked him if he was faster than former Gators runningback Chris Rainey.

Johnson being Johnson, responded “I’d spot Rainey 10 meters in the 200 and catch him on the back end”. Rainey promptly responded with this ” @ochocinco y not the 60m then and I’ll give u 2 yards too. How much $ lol dead A** tho.”
The former Gators speedster later set the wager at over $20,000.
I can’t believe ochocinco call me out, put ur money where ur mouth is. I’m always ready to race. Nth less than 20k, hope u bout that life.

When “Ochocinco” is being over confident in his abilities, it is sometimes for good reason. This was not one of those times. As mentioned in a post last month, Rainey worked out with the Chiefs and reportedly ran a 4.29 40 time. As a freshman track and field athlete at UF, he was a 4×100-meter All American and set a 10.66 sec. time as a personal best in the 100 meter sprint. His 60 meter personal best was 6.70 seconds.
Chad Johnson’s 40 yard dash time at the NFL Combine was 4.57 seconds.
If this ever happened, I’d be more than happy to watch. Maybe it would be on Sports Science. But Jason Lieser put it best “Chris Rainey and Chad Johnson. Two guys with a ton of free time on their hands.”
