Today it was reported that Gators’ defensive tackle Dominique Easley injured his knee at practice. Because there have been multiple reports, Hail Florida Hail breaks them down.
Muschamp talked about numerous injuries in his SEC teleconference today. This is his initial report on Easley’s knee.
“Dominique Easley tweaked his knee a little bit yesterday. Probably be out today. We’ll see how it goes.”
Later in the conference, he added this.
“It’s his other knee. It was a non contact. He was playing to run on a screen and just tweaked it a little bit. We think he’ll be fine. We just need more information right now. We’re going through that process at this time.”
Listen to the whole teleconference here.
Easley tweeted this earlier today. His account is private so it is not possible to embed the tweet.
Gatornation thank you for all of 4 yrs of sticking with me but god has something else planned for and have no worries #believe
Snell, a former Gators offensive lineman who now writes at Only Gators, had this to say about Easley’s injury.
Yea, I can confirm Easley tore his ACL. Yikes. @onlygators

He is the only one to “confirm” that Easley tore his ACL.
- While Muschamp indicated the injury was to his right knee, Easley tore the ACL in his left knee against Florida State in 2011.
- Easley’s father told the Orlando Sentinel “Don’t assume anything just yet.”
