Bait

  • After Nathan Peterman’s horrid performance, and injury, against the Gators’ ferocious defense, Butch Jones has decided that Justin Worley is the starting quarterback for now. Worley didn’t really perform much better, but I don’t think Tennessee has that many options at this point.

Bits

  • Former Gators running back Chris Rainey was released by the Steelers in 2012 after having some legal trouble. It was reported today that Rainey worked out with the Kansas City Chiefs and per his Twitter, ran a 4.29 40 yard dash. Despite this speedy time, the Chiefs decided not to sign the former Gator.
  • Speaking of former Florida running backs, Jeff Demps was activated to the Buccaneers 53 man roster today after practicing with the team for two weeks. Bucs tight end Luke Stocker was sent to injured reserve, making room for Demps. Seeing how Tampa’s season is going thus far, they can use all the help they can get.
  • The Gator Grind 2.0 is now up and live. This gives fans a unique perspective into the life of UF athletes from many different sports. The athletes writing these posts include men’s basketball star Patric Young. Go give it a gander. From the sounds of it, they have some cool videos/articles coming.
