Q & A With All For Tennessee

Continuing a weekly feature on Hail Florida Hail, yours truly asked All For Tennessee‘s editor Zach Ragan some questions about the upcoming match-up between the Florida Gators and Tennessee Volunteers.

Liam Jones: How do you think Butch Jones and co will recover from the blow out loss to Oregon?

Zach Ragan: I think Jones will have his team ready to go. The Vols obviously weren’t going to win at Oregon, but I think Jones is instilling his team that they should go into every game believing they will win. I think they’ll put the loss behind them.

LJ: What is this “open quarterback battle” business? It cannot be encouraging going into a rivalry game.

ZR: Obviously Florida and Tennessee are in two different places with their offenses. Tennessee has been starting Justin Worley the first three games and he’s proved to be ineffective. While I don’t think the Vols will make a switch for the Florida game, I do believe a change could be coming soon.

LJ: What is your matchup to watch this week?

ZR: Tennessee’s offensive line against Florida’s defensive line. Tennessee has a dominant offensive line, but Florida has a very stout defense. Something will have to give when these two teams get together.

LJ: Which offensive weapon scares you the most on the Gators?

ZR: Solomon Patton really broke out against Miami. I think the Vols will need to make sure they contain him. There isn’t a lot of film on him, so he’s a guy that could catch the Vols by surprise.

LJ: What aspect do you think the Vols can take advantage of on Saturday?

ZR: Florida really struggled in the running game against Miami, averaging less than 3 yards a carry. If the Vols can control the line of scrimmage, than they may stand a chance to pull the upset in Gainesville.
