Jon Bostic Lays A Big Hit

Jon Bostic, rookie linebacker for the Chicago Bears and former Gator, flattened San Diego Chargers wide receiver Mike Willie. The Bears and Chargers were facing off in NFL preseason action, and Bostic suddenly made things a lot more interesting.

In a night filled with turnovers, this was ruled as an incomplete pass but that can be debated endlessly. Regardless of the call on the field, nothing can taking away the decleating hit by the former Florida linebacker.

It looks like the Bears will not miss a beat after losing Brian Urlacher to retirement. Bostic made two total tackles on the night, and deflected a pass. Last week, the Bears inside linebacker picked off Cam Newton and returned it 51 yards for a touchdown.

Major Wright, another former Gator and current Bear, record 3 tackles (2 solo) and recovered a fumble as well.
